Alan's Eclectic Homepage
LAN'S
CLECTIC
OMEPAGE
This page is intended to help people find information about a few of my hobbies and interests. It currently includes a section on Kaiju movies (including sections on a couple of Godzilla conventions), a small page about my family (which will eventually be a place to share some family pictures) and a page created by my daughter.. As time permits, I hope to add additional sections, as well as expand the current sections. Wander through my page and please leave your comments on my Guestbook, which can be found at the bottom of most pages, or send me an email.
To go to the Kaiju page, click on the image of Godzilla (above). You can also find links to the Godzilla convention pages I have created. After the American Godzilla movie opens I hope to add a section on the new image of Godzilla. I hope you enjoy browsing through these pages as much as I enjoyed creating them.
I have created a small page about my family. I hope to make this page a way to share some family photos with my extended family and with the net as a whole. Click on the family picture above to go to my family page.
My daughter Sarina has created a web page about the Boxcar Children series of books. There is also the text and pictures from her science fair project about boomerangs. As we have time we will add more to her page. Click on Sarina's picture, above, to go to her page.

My Links
Here are a few links that I use. I
have enjoyed them over the years, and I hope you will enjoy them also.
- Alibris is a site that has used book listings from over 1800 stores. (This used to be Interloc.com.) They have over 3.7 million book listings, as well as a calendar of book
fairs and web links to their subscriber's pages.
- Bookstore.co.uk is a British online bookstore. I have used them to buy books that are available in the UK, but not in the US. They are quick to respond to email and are very helpful. Surprise a friend with a book they have been unable to find!
- The Mysterious Home Page is a links page dedicated to all things related to mystery-genre fiction. If you like mysteries, this is the place to start.
- Sherlockian.net is the place to start for all things to do with the great detective, Sherlock Holmes. Included on this page is a link to the Hounds of the Internet, a mailing list which discusses Holmes in general and covers a different story, from the Canon, each week.
- The Misenchanted Page is a page by Lawrence Watt-Evans about himself and his fiction. He is the author of three different fantasy series, as well as numerous pieces of short fiction.
- Fort Wayne Ultimate is a site for Ultimate Frisbee in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a great sport if you like throwing a disk and running like hell! They have pickup games every weekend and a summer league!
- Ted Bailey's Boomerang World Info and links to boomerang making, throwing and history. A great hobby!
- 60 Greatest Conspiracies of All Time Be sure to check out this weeks Rant of the Week!
- The Science Hobbyist A huge collection of science oriented links, both mainstream and alternative. While this is a great page for anyone with an interest in science, teachers will find it especially useful. Among other things it contains a whole page of links to science fair projects and a page of email addresses that kids can send science questions to.
- Bart Johnson's Home Page A friend's page full of US Civil War links, Civil War reenactment links and Scotland links. The page on his reenacting unit is excellent.
- The Urban Legends Reference page Urban legends, true and untrue, are interesting and informative. This site has a great search engine. If you hear a story that seems too funny to be true, check it out hear.
- Elephant Talk The Robert Fripp and King Crimson Web Site.
- A Show of Fans An excellent Rush fanzine.
- WebRPG A site for roleplayers and GM's with a discussion area and many resources.
- PBEM news The site to announce or join a play by email game. Has RPG, strategy and sport games along with resources and link for GM's and players.
- Worlds of Shanidar is a site I have created on Geocities. It started as a site for a PBeM game I was trying to get started, but has grown to include a number of areas, including a memorial to a friend who passed away recently.
- Mile High Comics - A huge comics store, with search engine and online ordering available.
EvolveFish.com If you are an atheist, agnostic or freethinker, you need to check out this page. They have bumper stickers, pins, window emblems and books.
